Back in February we had a really bad hail storm by us, our house took a beating for about 7 minutes and mother nature managed to cause some serious damage. The very next day the fliers, business cards and knocks on the door flooded us for at least the next week and a half. I was overwhelmed with all the things, house stuff are things that Jared would take care of, so I just didn't know where to start. The same day that the storm came through Jared had a very important neuro appointment the next morning, so I was already stressed about that. My mom came into town the next week and she managed to talk to a few of the contractors and roofing companies that were stopping by to hopefully gain our business. In the stack of about 50 different business cards and meets she picked out a young gentleman that she just had a good feeling about. She shared Jared's story with him and he seemed genuine to her....so I went with him and his company for our roof and everything else we were going to need to be repaired. Since that time Jeff has been amazing to work with, he doesn't even know Jared but has expressed on every occasion when either me, my mom or sister talk to him that him and his wife are praying for Jared. With all that is going on he has been so helpful and understanding with our crazy schedules and life as of current.
So why am I here talking about our project manager and roofer thats doing work on our house???
Well, yesterday he stopped by to look at a completely different project not involving hail damage, and brought a gift for Jared, it is too thoughtful not to share.
He has gotten to know Jared through my family in phone calls and through this blog, continuing to pray for Jared and hopefully will get to meet him one day at the house.
He has learned that Jared is a huge fam of collecting vinyl, both for decoration and listening to, he loves the Grateful Dead and disc golf, he has seen the cage/basket and Jared's Grateful dead wall in the backyard.
Check out this awesome gift he got Jared...
Just a huge thank you to him for doing something so thoughtful out of the kindness of his heart for Jared. I can't wait for Jared to be able to use the frisbees!
And it only seems right to throw out Jeff's information out into the universe, because he is a good human being and even better contractor.
