As I sit to write this so many thoughts flood my mind. I don't know that I'll be able to get them all out before I forget an important one, so I'm just going to spit this list out and hope for the best!

Day one: 10/31/2021 (Trauma ICU)
11/27/2021 - First time he gifted a full-on staring contest with us! This was back in the days when we'd call friends and family and let them scream "Wake up, J!"
March 11, 2022 - Cranioplasty day AKA the day Humpty Dumpty got put back together again! Britni (friends with Kabrina since kindergarten) drove down from OK to be with us - what a blessing for my sis!
On 3/11/2022, Jared 2.o took off and has not looked back! We left the SNF (nursing home) mid-April and headed to Baylor Institute for Rehab, and are now at Pate Rehabilitation. Jared is walking, talking, eating, throwing and catching things, dancing with his girl (even gifted me with a dance and twirl last night-see below) and stealing my coffee!
Gotta love that "idk" shoulder shrug as he proceeds to drink my coffee!
We often hear form Jared's therapists that he enjoys when they play music in their sessions. We also hear that some of the truest moments happen when no one is coaching and/or looking at him -- check this out! ;0)
There are so many other accomplishments, but didn't want to go into a normal blog post here because this one is to celebrate and give God the glory!

There is still work to do, but wanted to make sure that as we cross this 365 day milestone, we took the time to reflect on all the amazing things Jared has done and how faithful the Lord has been to him. Jared isn't the only one who's been journeying forward this past year. Kabrina, Jared's partner, best-friend, hype woman, (at times) disciplinarian, but all the time his faithful wife, has done her best to keep pace with Jared in this race. She deserves just as much celebration, praise and love!
We will keep running this race until the Lord tells us it's time to rest. We will keep trusting in the Lord's healing and provision for Jared and Kabrina. He's been faithful through this whole season, so why would he fail them now? HE WON'T! #staytuned
